In episode 14, Dr Nicola Boydell, a Research Assistant at the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit, University of Glasgow, chats with Karen about her thesis study investigating young gay and bisexual men’s ‘personal communities’, the meanings men ascribe to their relationships with individuals within their ‘personal community’, and explored the role these people may play in shaping men’s understandings of, and approaches to, ‘safer sex’.
